An Enterprise Services team in Guadalajara brings the HP Way Now to life in a big way.

Imagine that some of HP’s most senior leaders ask you to do something really difficult, really fast. Failure is not an option. Their request is critical to the business. Your team is the right one to do the job, and you need to pull together and start making progress – now!
That’s what happened when a team in HP Enterprise Services was asked by the ES Leadership Team (ESLT) to quickly develop a centralized framework to help them better manage critical actions in the business.
Members of the development team, who were primarily located in Guadalajara, Mexico, acted quickly. Within 30 days, they delivered the new ESLT Cadence Portal, which gives the ES leaders easy access to business-essential information, including presentations made during business-review meetings.
The execs can also use the Portal to track actions related to those business reviews, and to access ES scorecards and dashboards. In addition, there is an ESLT calendar with critical dates.
The team’s work was so exceptional that HP Senior Vice President and CIO Ramón Baez recently gave its members the CIO Award for “Excellent Innovation and Team Achievement.”
And, although the ESLT Cadence Portal is password protected and confidential, word has gotten out that it is well designed and highly effective. Other groups in ES now want similar portals of their own – and ES plans to make them available to all level-two (L2) businesses and functions.
“These individuals and teams have gone above and beyond to help make HP successful, and they clearly demonstrate the depth and breadth of the IT team's talent, commitment to excellence, and can-do attitude,” said Baez in a recent message announcing the CIO Innovation Award winners.
Congratulations to our colleagues in ES who have brought HP’s Leadership Attributes to life by having a will to win and being highly capable and innovative. You are making it matter!
